"We opted for bed and breakfast at the hotel, we did a lot of hiking whilst on Madeira and, the Saccharum resort breakfast never failed to set us up for whatever we were getting up to. First class service! Great local restaurants in the area but I have to call out the hotel restaurants as being second to none. We ate in the restaurant overlooking the infinity pool on two occasions- fantastic choice, efficiency and the staff were wonderful."

"Stayed at the hotel from May 26 to June 1 and had a wonderful time. Check in was easy and our room was ready with a nice welcome fruit basket. We appreciated the personalized touch. Each day our room was cleaned, towels restocked, as well as bottled water. There was lots of selection for breakfast. All the staff were very kind and welcoming Thank you Royal Savoy for making our first trip to Madeira memorable. "

"The staff went above and beyond to help us. We arrived at 1am and they made sandwiches fruit and yogurt and brought them to our room because we mentioned we were hungry. That was one of a dozen little things the did for us. "

"Clean, modern, excellent buffet, very good staff. Well located for bus tours and other facilities. Near tourist information office. Good dining options. Hotel facilities are first class. Downside was that we had to buy our own decaf teabags from the local supermarket as they don’t do decaf tea but do decaf coffee."
