"Moss Grove is a fantastic B&B in the heart of Grasmere. The staff were wonderful—their “we’ll do everything we can for our guests” attitude really made our stay. The hot tub photos seen during booking however, gave us the wrong impression. It’s exclusively for the suite, with no access for other guests. "Absolutely awful experience. The property was falsely advertised as having a gym and spa on site – neither of which exist. To make matters worse, the CO2 alarms went off at around 5:30am, which was extremely alarming. When we contacted maintenance, they “fixed” the issue by breaking the alarms just to silence them. Unbelievably, the host then attempted to charge us £99.99 to repair the very alarms their own maintenance team damaged. Completely unacceptable behaviour and very poor management. I...

"We arrived a day early and had no problems getting a room. Loved the pool area - very relaxing. Loved the outside area - just beautiful, had some great walks. Very close to the steamers, which was a wonderful trip on the lake. The only problem we had was a very noisy room. Sounded like water was being turned off and on constantly, and then would end with a grinding noise, which made it difficult to sleep at night.
