"Lovely hôtel - perfect for Lake Windermere. Facilities in the hotel are great: there are even wellingtons you can borrow to do a woodland walk. The restaurant is fantastic with high quality food. The lounge and reception area have wonderful open fires which make it feel really cosy. Our feature room was fantastic and roomy."

"We were delighted when we checked in to this hotel, it’s immaculate and we were given a complimentary room upgrade and birthday cake in the room! It’s a beautiful hotel, great location and great views over the pleasure beach and sea. The only thing we found negative was that it seems to lack a warmth, no atmosphere, just a bit sterile. "Really great boutique hotel / restaurant, think the name gives away the sort of menu you get with a well stocked bar & wine cellar. The parking was easy. The food is excellent & staff knowledgable, friendly & helpful. The rooms have been given an upgrade & are in a fantastic modern style with really comfy kingsize bed. "

"Perfect location for travelling around the lake and for going out in the local area. Delicious and ample breakfast, tailored to your needs with plenty of tasty options which set us up right for a long walk. Super comfy bed, warm, little nice things like milk and good advice on walks and local sights. They also gave us biscuits to keep us trucking on our walk on our way out the door. "

The location is perfect for being close to the village centre and a great base for visiting surrounding areas. Cannot recommend enough and will be definitely visiting again. "

"Very pretty country location. The rooms including common rooms were all lovely. The tiny bathrooms were cramped and windowless and let the property down. Breakfasts were lovely, with lots of choice. We didn’t have dinner there, as prices were over the top, compared with what we were paying in other locations on our trip around the UK. "
