"Excellent location to explore the Lakes. Staff were very fiendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable; tea and coffee in the room. I didn't have breakfast as I was meeting friends elsewhere."

Traffic was a little noisy ( I had to open window due to heatwave) but the host thoughtfully supplied earplugs as well as various other "extras " for myself and the dog. Shared bathroom was clean and easily accessible. I would recommend Cartref if visiting Carlisle or just passing through and i would certainly consider staying here again if in the area."

"Cosy feeling pub. Fantastic food. Nicely furnished cosy rooms but limited plugs for phone charging etc. We were in the room at the front above the pub, quite noisy from the pub below at night could make it difficult for some to sleep. Staff were welcoming and helpful."

"Dianne went out of her way to be helpful at all steps of our stay. Great parking facilities, great shower, comfy bed. Everything needed was provided and well thought through. We were able to arrange to collect the keys early as we were due at a wedding and Dianne went out of her way to help us arrange a taxi booking to and from the venue nearby. Breakfast was varied and plentiful."
