Lovely hotel gardens really pretty place. Great room good bed, stayed 1 night. We had dinner in the restaurant the Thursday menu, delicious. Special thanks to Claire who served us breakfast lovely person very accommodating. Great stay will go back.

Excellent hotel and apartments, We stayed in the apartments on the hotel grounds this were to a very high standard with everything you needed. My daughter and myself enjoyed our stay in one of the 2 bedroom one's each room offering a super king size bed and ensuite, TV's in each room, comfortable lounge area and well equipped kitchen, the hotel bar and restaurant is only a short walk across the car park with a great choice of lunch and evening meals available. The staff are super friendly and helpful

We stayed here for 1 child free night. The hotel was lovely. The room was clean, well maintained and quiet. The view over the Eden Valley was lovely. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We used our Tesco vouchers so our stay was very cheap. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay. Our apartment was fantastic. The surrounding grounds and views superb. The staff were friendly and efficient. The meals were incredible. We wished our stay las longer than the 2 nights we were there. Just a dream. Highly recommend.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, a great bonus. Being only a few minutes outside Penrith means you are close enough and also far enough away. Better still, there is more than one route to access the hotel when the traffic is a bit busy. Definitely a place to regularly come back to.

Wonderful hotel, a nice mix of modern and old furnishings to fit the style of the house. Beautiful scenery surrounding. Our room was big and stylish, I loved the exposed beams! The bed comfy and bathroom was huge with corner bath and seperate shower. Attentive staff and tasty breakfast. Penrith Town less than 10 minutes drive away and taxis only cost about £6-8. Perfect stay, we will return!

The Roundthorn Hotel is situated in a quiet countryside spot. The area around the hotel is beautiful. Good links to various places in the Lake District. The evening food at the hotel was excellent and breakfast was really good value. If you're looking for shopping and other amenities this is probably not the ideal place as it is fairly isolated and you need a car to get around....but as a quiet getaway, its a good choice.
