"Couldn’t recommend The Tenpus at Charlton Hall more! We stayed in one of the lakeside lodges and had such a lovely relaxing time. We had planned to eat at the Lobster Pot in Bamburgh but lucky for us they were a chef down and couldn’t accommodate us so we ate in the Tempus restaurant which was outstanding.
I didn’t catch our servers name but he was so friendly and made us very welcome. Food was delicious.
Can’t wait to book again… absolutely loved everything about our visit."

"Adorable little Inn and pub. Great room although it was a little tight for a triple. Comfortable beds. Quiet. My only complaint is that there is no electrical plug near a mirror for blow drying your hair. That and the rain showerhead. But that’s just a personal preference for me. "I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem.

"We had a wonderful 4 night stay at The Gables. Room was fabulous and host Angus so friendly and welcoming. Such a quiet property and bed so comfortable and warm. Bathroom facilities excellent. "Did not appreciate a separate bathroom from our bedroom. We booked 12 months in advance and I am sure that I would not have booked if I had noticed that. Our room was situated at the top of the stairs which meant other guests walking past possibly as you were heading to have or return from a shower. Our room could also be seen from a public area (a small corridor from the main bar to the beer garden) which is not good especially for a woman.
