"Although the meal in the restaurant in the evening was very good. The breakfast was very poor. The ingredients was of a very poor quality. Cereals were sub standard. As for the main breakfast, hash browns, bacon, baked beans were absolutely shocking. The bacon itself was barely cooked and the eggs were very similar. On top of this the plates were stone cold. When l asked the waiter why, he challenged the chef who hadn’t put the warmer draw on. Even the fruit juice was totally tasteless."
"Absolutely magical place to stay! The rooms were immaculate, beds very comfy, and the staff wonderful! The floor we stayed on was accessible by a small spiral staircase; large enough to get suitcases up, but perhaps not the most accessible so bear that in mind when booking. Would highly recommend taking time to walk the grounds and throughout the castle during your stay!"
"To be honest it's ok for a one night stay.
The staff are great but the building itself is a health risk, with holes hidden in the floor underneath the carpet.
I went over in one and twisted my ankle .
Every time you walk across the bedroom floors they creek and bend as you walk .
The dinner was a rip off.
The fish was supposed to be fresh ?
No it was frozen what I call ding ding food .
The chopped a small potato into cubes and put tomato relish with it. £26 wow !

"The air conditioning in the hotel was not working, which I was not told until discovering it for myself in my room. I was offered a fan, but this was inadequate as the room had windows that only opened a few inches and was facing a busy road. The room was hot, noisy, and if we wanted air we were unable to keep the curtains closed against the bright lights outside. Our room overlooked a courtyard containing an open dumpster full of trash. "The castle is absolutely gorgeous. I stayed in one of the rooms in the outbuilding in the grounds, surrounded by peacocks, and it was lovely to walk across the lawn in the rain in the early morning for breakfast in the castle restaurant. The drawing room is incredible, with a great bar and genuinely spectacular places to sit in medieval window seats and beautiful couches. The staff are all wonderful.
The rooms in the outbuilding are grand, but a lot of the fixtures are getting a bit run down....
"What a beautiful inn. It’s quiet and the staff are all very friendly. I stayed there one night and chose it because of its proximity to Kynren. It was about a 15 minute drive from their car park. So convenient! Especially when you’re getting out of the show at 11 o’clock at night. Their breakfast in the morning had lots of options, both hot and cold. I wish I could’ve stayed longer in the area."
