"Great location, potential to be a beautiful hotel, but needs some tlc. The room was dirty, dirty toilet, headboard had stains all over it, stains on the sheets. No Iron, ironing board or even a hairdryer in the room. Not suitable for disabled people, steps outside the property, stairs everywhere, no lift. The lady on reception was very lovely and very helpful."

"Had a very nice stay. Room and bathroom were very clean and breakfast was lovely. Great variety! Also ate in the bar the first evening and the tempura fish was very tasty. Very peaceful sleep in the Peartree Mews room. Hotel grounds and gardens are so nice with the view across fields. Staff were very friendly too Would definitely stay again."

"Decent hotel"

"Great experience, great stuff"

"Great staff, location and amenities"

"Beautiful property, excellent location. Reception staff seemed put out to check-in (not only us but we saw same unfriendly, unhelpful attitude towards others). A smile and be more engaging would have made us feel welcomed. Dining room servers pleasant and accommodating."

"Great pool and treatment area. Room was clean. Parking was good. Location was great as a base."

"Stayed in a "standard room" / King bed. Overall, the two-day stay was underwhelming,. On arrival, first room actually smelled hot. I first assumed something was wrong with the HVAC (there was), but I learned that the facility heats with radiators, and no, air conditioners don't work. After returning to the room with instructions to try turning down the radiator, I discovered there was no handle on the radiator valve. After I made a second trip to the front desk, they gave me a different room,...

"Great location close to Stratford marina and the town centre. Plenty of parking. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean."

"Good sized room and bathroom. No safe in the room and on the second morning, housekeeping didn't shut the door properly so anyone could have just wandered in. I'd booked room only so can't comment on breakfast. A pleasant stay, however and location is perfect."

"Very relaxing overnight stay at The Malvern - Fionnula on the check in desk was so lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and my partner and I felt very looked after. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of toiletries provided. The spa itself is amazing with lots of different types of hot rooms and jacuzzi to relax in. I would definitely stay at The Malvern again! Thanks so much all."

"Good parking and breakfast. Hotel in need of a refurb, would not stay again. That said, staff were pleasant and doing their best to be helpful."
