"Grand old manor house, which makes for a quirky hotel. Clean rooms, great shower, lots of parking... not far from the village of Shifnal, which has an array of restaurants... and extremely convenient for Telford, where we attended a conference. Will be re-booking for next year's event!"

"The hotel is not worth the money. It is very tired and need some TLC. There was rubbish in the plant pots. The carpet is thread there. The shower was broken. The shaving mirror was hanging off the wall. The bottom of the shower door was waterlogged and all the paint was peeling off the staff for the swimming pool, sat about on their mobile phones and ignored customers. The swimming pool ceiling is massively stained. All the lockers were dirty and the locking facilities wobbled. I will not stay...

"The check in experience was great, really friendly reception staff explained everything. Room was good size, nice and clean. Only complaint would be was top warm and window quite old and stiff to open. We had a drink in the bar and the service was atrocious!!! If we hadn't been staying there we would have walked out. There was a party in front that got served and then The bar person just walked out of the bar. Nothing said to us, no explanation, nothing at all. When she came back eventually...
