"I booked this hotel to use the pool facilities which were so packed with local members I could not swim in a straight line. I was disgusted when a bloodied sanitary towel floated past me in the pool and not impressed by the cleanliness of the toilets which had clearly not been checked for some time as there was poo in the loo! Grim.
I did have a lovely meal in the restaurant and the staff were friendly and accommodating."
"The room I was given was a CLOSET 332 with a queen bed in it. It never should of had a queen bed - a single at max. BUT the worst part was the TOXIC smell from the bathroom from the GLUE they must have used to put up panels in the bathroom. It was so toxic I could not sleep nor stay in the room. THEY DID NOTHING. Now, I totally understand that an Edwardian era hotel will have smaller rooms BUT don't try and stuff a queen bed in it so you can get dbl occupancy. BUT the TOXIC FUMES were the worst....

Extractor fan in bathroom really loud and plug hole definitely needed some drain unblocker as was standing in water when I had a shower. However the staff were very receptive when I informed them and said that they would notify housekeeping.

"Bedding, towels, bathrooms were all clean but the lodge itself needed a bit of TLC in places. Broome Park is a beautiful setting and the golf is amazing. Loved exploring the nearby areas.

"Great location for the hotel. The room itself was roomy and comfortable with nice decor. Breakfast was excellent!, As a solo female traveller, I would gave preferred being assigned a room on higher floor. My room was on the main floor with large bay windows on the main road right next to a pub/bar. A bit disconcerting but after closing the heavy drapes I felt okay. The biggest concern I had was with the low water pressure."
"Hotel located right on the sea board in folkstone right near white cliffs of Dover and Dover castle. It has old charm feel to it. Staff were friendly throughout stay. Room was spacious with amenities. Room clean and bathroom spacious. Parking onsite and right nearby as well. Dining area on site. Loved the look and feel of the hotel. Would recommend!"

"I stayed one night and my room was absolutely spotless. There was tea, coffee and biscuits in my room and the bed was very comfortable. The only complaint I have is that I was woken at 2.30 in the morning with what sounded like a radio show playing classical music somewhere near my room. I thought it would stop but by 4am it hadn’t. I rang the hotel number to ask about it but no-one answered."

"I can not recommend this spot enough- first of all, every staff member is so warm and congenial. The room is beautiful, and the complimentary breakfast is table service (mind blowing to my American standards!). Being right in the Cathedral grounds puts you in the midst of everything but yet in a nice quiet oasis. Would come back just to stay here again."
