"The pool and pool side restaurant was like an oasis from the hustle and grit of San Jose. The food at the restaurant was incredible and well priced. Highly recommend ordering lunch or dinner by the pool. Our room was simple but clean. Comfy pillows! The area feels safe to walk around during the day. The staff were all wonderful. A lovely boutique hotel! Special thanks to the staff for accommodating our early arrival. "

"This lodge and spa is located in a valley between two mountain ranges at about 5000 feet (compared to Monte Verde 4300 feet) and is considered to be within the range of cloud forest. When we arrived, we were checked in and the host was very nice but failed to give us clear information of how to navigate the privately owned cloud forest with very hilly resort location and four water falls all within the property. "The family suite was exceptional. Service was top tier from all angles. Breakfast is typical costa rican food which I liked. Security on site all evenings which was a nice touch. Neighborhood is walkable. We spent a good amount of time walking back and forth to restaurants and it was completely safe. "
