"We had an overall good stay. We upgraded one level and it was TOTALLY worth it compared to our friends' standard rooms. Much bigger, especially if it's a two queen room. It's an older hotel for sure but the decor was slightly more updated than the standard which made a difference for us. Check-in was easy but parking was confusing and pricey ($30 overnight but $50 if you want to come in and out during your stay-we should have used valet for $60) but pretty standard for anything by LAX. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, and there is an intriguing garden area at the hotel, which is like an oasis amidst the urban sprawl. There’s a nice little coffee spot around the corner inside the Miyako Hotel, and Little Tokyo itself has a nice variety of cafes, stores, and bakeries. Downtown is walkable to Grand Central Market. "Everything was lovely and we enjoyed all the hotel had to offer. I hope to be back soon. The only uncomfortable situation was a women bartender in the lounge. She had no personality, no eye contact when speaking to us, no thanks after bill was paid. It was obvious she did not want to be there and was not appreciative of any customer. We never complain of the prices when we are treated like a valued customer."
