"Our first impression of this hotel was not so good... a hotel built in the 1990s with a somewhat strange layout and in need of modernization. It’s definitely not a 4-* hotel. However, first impressions can be wrong. The spa in a separate building was quite amazing and the best after a day of skiing or hiking. Dinner on the top floor was very good and staff was very attentive. Not our first choice for a holiday but for a stopover this hotel was quite OK."

"We had never been to Saas-Fee. We choose Hotel Allallin because it is close to bus station. When we arrived the hostess was so helpful. We told her we wanted to hike. She gave us good directions. She gave us the Saas Tal card which gave us free use of the cable cars. She suggested that we should have time that afternoon to do a second hike."

"the stay was like in a Wes Anderson Movie, with the staff as special characters. Everyone was very sympathetic and helpful. Felipe the driver made the transfers fun. The hotel is clean, quiet a welcoming. The sauna, which is big, is also an amazing experience. Finally, the breakfast was delicious and fresh. We recommend!!!"

"Great location with views to the ski area (in panoramic rooms). Tough to tell online, but rooms are different, so be sure you know which one you are booking. Recently partially renovated. Spa is nice. Breakfast was good and breakfast and cleaning staff are excellent. Shared kitchenette space with mini fridge, microwave, and drinks and snacks for purchase. Concierge fell flat with poor guidance and misinformation. (Closest bus stop, ski area opening times, etc). Provided ride to and from parking."

Perfect for our plans for daily train trips (Brig has mainline connections across Switzerland and to Italy and is a station on the Glacier Express route from Zermatt to Andermatt, Chur and St Moritz). The dining areas offered a great selection of high quality options for breakfast and evening meals. All of the staff were professional, friendly and helpful and are clearly a great team. We chose the economy rooms and these were smaller than other rooms in the hotel but were still well equipped with really comfortable beds, en-suite shower room, TV, coffee machine and minibar and thoughtful touches such as a multi-country adaptor plug in the room and toothrbush/toothpaste in the shower room. My only minor issue (as a larger person!) was the shower cubicle entrance was very narrow - but, once inside, the shower was hot and powerful. "
