"This is such a great place to stay!! Yes it seems old but well taken care of. We had a canal view room with a balcony, it was a winner!! The room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful with the luggage. Breakfast wasnt too bad either, could be a bit better but still great. Had good variety but quality was a bit low. AC in the room could use a repair, at some points it wasnt cold. Wifi was great. Location was very convienent, right next to the train station which meant we didnt carry any...

"Loved this place bc it is away from the crowded section of San Marco, but it is still on the Grand Canal as begins to go around Venice. The rooms are clean, breakfast was good especially the double expressos! The rooms are on the smaller side but we really didn’t mind bc we were there to explore Venice not stay on a room all day. "We had a wonderful stay in Venice at the Carnival Palace Hotel. Fantastic views of the canal in a very quiet location in the city. Lots of local restaurants and cafes nearby plus three water taxi stops. Marco was very helpful with checkin, anniversary extras, plus restaurant recommendations and reservations. Our room was super clean with daily service. Breakfast was a good mixture of savory and sweet. When we return to Venice, we will stay at the Carnival Palace again."

"Very good location (are there bad hotel locations in Venice?). Easy walk to train and everything else. Older hotel and not a good shower setup (partially enclosed so easy to make a mess with the water). We were there for one night. Recommended "
