"Highly recommended. Staff are fantastic, all meals excellent, the lounge and bar areas are really nice. Couple of minor things easily remedied, window plunder in the room was damaged & ash window would not stay open. The shower head badly leaked and just needs a new seal. We went on Motorbikes and parking was easy and secure with fantastic trips out from the hotel. "

"A good hotel with excellent staff and clean rooms. Only let down by breakfast as every item on the buffet was at best lukewarm. I was on a tight time schedule so couldn’t complain and get fresh food. However, surely staff should be checking this, using temperature probes etc? "

"Very good hotel in excellent location for Helmsley with great spa facilities. Slightly disappointed with quality of cleaning of room with no drinks or toiletry replenishment after the first nights stay. Good breakfast but food slow coming out of kitchen, not the waiting staffs fault though. Lovely lounges and excellent bar with helpful and welcoming staff. "

"The rooms were neat and tidy, room rate high for size of room. On the plus side the staff were attentive and kind seeing to our every need. I was attending a wedding the whole experience for the bride and groom was excellent. The food was exceptional a big thank you to the chef and his team. Whilst going out of there way to decorate our room with complimentary champagne and chocolate treats, for our return back to the room after our evening meal in the fabulous leven restaurant! "Room was really good and comfortable. Overlooked car park. Excellent bath/shower room. Didnt have evening meal as hotel had hen or stag party booked in. Also as I have limited appetite choice was restricted. Overall would certainly recommend staying here also dog friendly so daughters family could bring their dog and all atebrsakfast together"
