"I love the Malmaison and have been coming here for years. However, the rooms are in need of a some love and attention. The furniture is worn and the bathrooms have seen better days. Still a great hotel in an amazing location just needs some well deserved investment. Also the restaurant menu is a little restrictive which meant we had to eat out both nights. Staff fantastic as ever. "

Well done Front of House, always a warm friendly welcome. Bar staff, you’re all amazing, Breakfast crew, nothings a problem. Take my hat off to the speed and efficiency you look after the masses."

"Very elegant hotel, however apart from breakfast no other meals available in the restaurant only in the bar area. The area around the nightclub, level one, was unkempt. The bath/shower in the bedroom difficult and potentially dangerous to access for older residents and there was no written information about the surrounding area. Bus times to the city and a street map would have been helpful. All the staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and obliging."

"The hotel room was nice. There was an iron and an ironing board but no hair dryer. Which seemed odd to me as I would think a hair dryer is used more than an ironing board. The beds were comfy, the place was clean and the room had blackout curtains, which was very appreciated. There were very few plug sockets though. No on site parking but there's a parking place across the road that does 24hr parking for £14 a day or £11 a day with discount provided by the hotel."

"The only problem I want to say is that the surroundings areas could do with being cleaner outside of the hotel other businesses. Apart from that its really pleasant. "

"Modern, clean, well-designed and decorated. Very friendly staff, good breakfast and, despite having a room over-looking a main road, I wasn't disturbed by any traffic noise. Plenty of car parking space. One improvement could be the bedside lamps as, given the height of the bed, it was difficult to get enough light on a book to read it."

"Good stay - the check-in was fantastic as the lady that served us was great! Housekeeping did wake us up even though we were only staying the one night and hadn’t checked out yet. The lift in the car park was out of service on leaving. Other than that all good!"
