"Only stayed briefly overnight and didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food or other facilities. Pros - very clean, quick check in/out from friendly staff, room was spacious and bed was comfy. However, it’s very tired and dated - floorboards squeaked, and the fittings/furniture etc is overdue a refresh and refurbishment. Didn't really detract from an overnight stay, but did mean the hotel lacked a luxury feel."
"The room was lovely and comfortable, well-furnished and spacious. The bathroom facilities were fine but desperately needed an update.
We enjoyed a lovely evening meal but unfortunately chose the wrong night. A couple of big birthday celebrations were happening and the restaurant was extremely busy. This didn’t detract from the excellent food and service we received.
The breakfast was also fantastic, 10/10. We couldn’t fault the staff, who were excellent throughout our stay"
"Great place. A few minutes walk from the main lodge where you leave your car. There is a parking bay to unload your gear if required. Note there is no lift so not suitable if you have walking difficulties. Nice modern room with big bathroom. Tv is tiny"
"This hotel is not worth the money. The toilet seat was hanging off. The shower door was broken the toilet brush and holder were all rusty. In the morning we waited an hour for our breakfast people that arrived in the restaurant after us got there breakfast before us when we checked with staff they said ours was coming after an hours wait we left the restaurant and checked out with no breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel"

The Daily Menu mentioned "Crispy Doreen's Black Pudding" on the Grazing Meat Board. We didn't find out who Crispy Doreen is, but her Black Pudding was great!
The steaks are pricey, but the rest of the menu seems reasonably priced, and the food quality was excellent.

"Me and my partner Ross stayed at The Cornmill last saturday and we both had a pleasent experience, Karen is very welcoming & accomodating and all round a lovely person. The room we stayed in was immaculate aswell and to top it all off, breakfast was absolutely superb! It's a 10/10 from both of us, we would highly recommend and we do plan on coming back in the future. Thank you so much"
