"A proper hotel, well maintained and clean. The staff were professional but friendly. They were approachable, knowledgeable, always willing to help, and did things properly without taking themselves too seriously. The room was a good size, comfortable, and tastefully decorated"

"The check in experience was great, really friendly reception staff explained everything. Room was good size, nice and clean. Only complaint would be was top warm and window quite old and stiff to open. We had a drink in the bar and the service was atrocious!!! If we hadn't been staying there we would have walked out. There was a party in front that got served and then The bar person just walked out of the bar. Nothing said to us, no explanation, nothing at all. When she came back eventually more than 5 minutes later with no apology for leaving us standing there waiting. I ordered 2 drinks which she couldn't remember and then got wrong. Any other place I would have walked out."
