The innkeeper and assistant are perfect examples of graciousness, solicitous without being intrusive. Last but in no way least, breakfast each morning was a lovely treat, highly recommend a stay here."

"Really nice BnB. The room was large and clean. We stayed in the Parker suite. Large jacuzzi tub in the center room. The breakfasts were excellent 4 course meals. I’d like the coffee to be stronger but that’s a personal preference. This is a nice location. Don’t worry about not staying in town or on the water front because either of these are easily accessible by car and the town and waterfront do not meet each other geographically, so you’ll need transportation either way. "

We enjoy staying at B & B establishments more than hotel chains, and the 1795 Acorn Inn looked charming. "This was a terrific place to stay and SO great to host a variety of guests. We had 7 adults and 5 kids (ranging from age 2-7) overnight. The kitchen is very well stocked. We'd taken cooking utensils and a few cookie sheets, but they were unnecessary as we had lots to choose from. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Upstairs is loaded for a great slumber party opportunity with 4 small beds for little kids as well as 3 twin sized beds. There were plenty of life jackets and water shoes...
