Our go-to hotel when traveling to Rochester, the Del Monte is not overwhelmingly large, has a great staff, is convenient to many local destinations and always provides top notch service. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, ambience and cleanliness. This hotel has a small footprint, making it easy to maneuver and cozy, yet elegant and relaxing. Running alongside the hotel is the Erie Canal with a lovely walking and bike path and plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the peaceful view. This is a place to stay when you want repose. The beds were a bit more firm than we’d love, but everything else was excellent. We stayed here for our wedding night and the amenities they offered to us to make our stay extra special were just delightful.

The service was excellent! We got a complimentary ride from the airport. Even though our flight was 30 minutes late, the shuttle driver waited for us at the airport. Then everyone was very welcoming offering free water bottles every day and also an apple when we were leaving early and didn’t have time for breakfast. Also, the food at the Erie Grill was excellent and included some healthy options.

We had to arrive early do to weather ( lake effect snow around the Great Lakes) and was very pleasantly surprised that we were able to check into our room several hours earlier! Front desk staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. We are definitely going to book again. Quant location with a spa.

This is a beautiful hotel in the village of Pittsford, right along the Erie Canal. There are lots of walkable places to go, including the Pittsford Dairy directly across the street and the village shops just across the canal. Hotel was quiet, room was spacious with lots of room to spread out a bit. The lounge chair with the fur throw was very special for a cold December night.

The property is in a fantastic location. The room however is quite depressing. It is incredible dark. I mentioned that to them and they said they would give me an extra lamp. It would not make a difference. I enrolled in keyless entry and they did not know how the process worked on my phone

Nice hotel, noisy heater/AC unit

The hotel is new and clean. On the good side, the rooms have everything one would need, including slippers, but they do have one great downside. The problem is that the rooms have an HVAC unit inside each room in a utility closet and these units are VERY noisy — the floor is shaking when they come on. I had to unplug the temperature controller to shut the HVAC off and be able to sleep.

Nice, but not worth the price.

The stay was nice although I feel the price I paid was not worth it. The room was EXTREMELY dark. Even with the curtains open, several lamps on, and floor lighting I could hardly see anything. There was also an extremely loud noise that kept coming on. Whether it was a furnace or an AC unit, it kept waking my baby up at night, and my partner and I could hardly hear each other talk over it. The floor was coming apart in a few places, and the wall paper was splitting on a wall. There were also only 2 gallon sized trash cans which one was meant for recycling and was not enough. The towels were STIFF and VERY rough. I’m not sure if we were just put in this room because we had a child or what, but definitely not worth the $400+ for one night. The carpeting throughout the hotel was also very dirty. If it was clean the place would look 10x better. The style of the room was very nice and would’ve been great if it was taken care of.
