"We found the staff friendly courteous and attentive. The hotel foyer, breakfast area and our room was very clean and tidy and our room was made up nicely each day. The hotel has a supermarket a very short walk from it (within 50 metres of the end of the driveway). We didn’t like the fact that the advertising on Expedia and the hotels own online directory states that there was a Western restaurant on site but we were told upon enquiry that this had been closed for 2 years. "Absolutely appalling experience! The hotel prioritized an event, booking every room except ours. The event overtook the pool area with blaring music and screaming girls for over 5 hours, making it unusable. To make matters worse, we discovered uncleaned feces behind the toilet in our room and rats scurrying around the main pool area. Despite our complaints to the staff, the noise was unbearable, even on the top floor, drowning out the TV. We were forced to leave the resort and spend hours...

Relaxing stay highly recommend

"Truly relaxing stay at Pearl Beach. This is a great hotel and we sprang for an ocean view villa. The standard rooms are nice but the ocean view is bigger and nicer. Hotel has its own beach and the staff are lovely. Just remember to put the clean room sign out daily. You'll need to do this to at least get more drinkable water and toiletries. Food was good especially the asian options. We did a trek with Chiwon around the island which was good fun and great to get some exercise. Room cleanliness was great, but would suggest they wash the outside of the ocean view windows more frequently. Its a minor quibble really. "
