Find hotels near Independence Beach, from SAR 88

"Ramada are taking over which is good as nobody, not even Tuk Tuk drivers knew where the Hotel was as name was wrong on Hotels.com My wife accidentally left our $100 room deposit receipt in the safe thinking it was a laundry order so when we went to check out they wouldn’t let me go back to the room even though I had just handed them the card, then when they got room service to check they said nothing in the safe or room, I put it in there myself , when I said “I want to go back to the room with the Manager” suddenly he appeared and said it’s OK we will just get you to sign for ‘it, with your passport, lovely hotel and staff but make sure you keep the receipt handy, there are a few restaurants on the beach and thankfully I approached from the road, the amount of flies and rubbish strewn around with kids playing amongst it definitely stopped me from eating at one of these, the hotel is immaculate but soulless $3.50 for a small can of $1 beer, we were the only ones who used the pool and beach, lovely pool but see was too rough to swim in, I feel sorry for the staff as no customers, only saw 6 other guests but this may have been due to the war with Thailand "

"Superb. Very nice hotel on the beach with two swimming pools. Quite a lively Friday night performance, dancing, dinner. Super friendly & helpful staff. Walked around the area at night with no problem. 7/11 across the street. Some minimarts & eateries. Casinos if that is your thing. Not mine. The breakfast was crazy excellent. Did not expect. Vast displays of dishes to fill two rooms. Tastiest yogurt I’ve ever had. Nice self-serve expresso, latte, coffee machine. Had dinner at at a Chinese restaurant a few blocks away."

"Great Vegas style hotel/casino. Staff were amazing and went above and beyond. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The pool and gym are nice and the buffet had variety. The surrounding area isn’t great, as tall buildings and a lot of construction. There really wasn’t much to do, hence we went to Koh rong island (a ferry ride away) to enjoy the beautiful beach. Would definitely recommend the hotel for business and those looking to gamble and for the staff who were exceptional (especially Visal and Royce)"

"Probably this wasn't the right hotel for us. 10 years ago this was a beachy backpacker area, now it's casinos and hot pot places. Still loud beach bars though, the hotel gives you earplugs when you check in. The hotel was fine, not as nice as the photos but fine. But the area was fairly unclean and felt a bit unsafe."

"This was booked for 4 nights by mistake as I searched for Koh Rong. When I realised on the morning of arrival they wouldn’t refund any of my money. I thought they it would have been fair just to pay for one night but I had to pay for all 4. Not pleased "

"This is my 3rd stay at this Sokha resort & it did not disappoint. Friendly staff, good food (reasonably priced) & exceptional massage. The pool is large, clean & well maintained. Right next to the beach & has a tropical island feel though surrounded by tall buildings. Truly a hidden gem & would definitely return next time I visit Sihanoukville."
