"An absolutely amazing place to stay. Full of history and the house tour is a must.
You are staying in a tourist attraction!
The location is ideal for the old part of George Town, easily walkable.
It’s located adjacent to a food market which to play music until quite late, finishing between 11pm and midnight.
This didn’t however takeaway from the remarkable place that this is."
"Good location but with limited parking spaces available. Very near to the Cecil street market. Room's hangers have to be changed, the plastic clip is not holding the hanger anymore! Tried the black coffee at lobby, it's complimentary but would be better to get local coffee from food market or nearby Altertaste cafe!"
"We had a beautiful, big suite at the Gurney Bay Hotel. The beds were so comfortable and the housekeeping was fantastic. The doorman and staff were lovely. The hotel is certainly a bit older but it has great facilities and a luxe feeling. The location was great - very close to malls and attractions. The only downside was the room service but would definitely stay again."
"Our stay at the Qing Suites was so wonderful, we could not have asked for a better experience. The history of the building, as well as the Blue Mansion, is fascinating, and adds to the magic of the place. The room was superb - clean and comfortable, with a lovely private courtyard. The main courtyard, where a delicious breakfast was served, is stunning. The staff deserve a special mention - attentive, kind, and always cheerful, and made our stay extra special."
"When turned on the TV immediately shows the hotel's channel. But you don't get useful information about the hotel, instead there is a video showing professional footballers playing games in order to score the hotel group's points - ASR. The volume is set VERY LOUD and what the footballers are doing, can only be described as Annoying Stupid Rubbish.
The bed I slept in had a dip in the centre and the mattress was soft. NOT GOOD FOR THE BACK.
The bathroom tap was permanently loose.
The drain was...
"The place was great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made my stay enjoyable. The only thing I wish could be improved is the breakfast buffet. It would be wonderful to have more authentic Malaysian food available at an affordable price, rather than mainly offering typical American-style breakfast options and meals. This would give guests a chance to enjoy local cuisine and experience mall of Malaysian’s rich food culture. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and I hope this suggestion...
