"We had a very pleasant one night stay in Douglas at The Claremont Hotel. Booking two rooms. We arrived early and were able to store our luggage at reception prior to check in. "Used accessible entrance on arrival via the breakfast room… poor signage, lights out and smelled of bleach.. not very welcoming. Stairs up to main entrance impossible with suitcases. Reception bright & welcoming when we found it. Room clean, but needs a refurb. WC flush took 10 mins to re-fill!! Three big windows with view of the beach. Spacious with ample storage. "Good breakfast, though disappointed that since my last visits it is no longer possible to have Manx kipper as a breakfast choice. Decor in corridors and room a little tired. Worst feature is that rooms are only serviced once every 3 days, not everyday, so only once wa during a 5 night stay. Never experienced this in any other hotel."

"I can't fault my 3-night stay at the Halvard as a solo traveller on business. My room was well maintained, spacious and comfortable with a decent heating/aircon system that allowed me to have the temperature I like.
