"I arrived on a Sunday and had sent a message several days before to say that I would like an evening meal. I went to the dining area at 8pm only to be told that the kitchen had closed for the evening so I was unable to get anything to eat that evening although I was offered crisps. On arrival I was told that the bar would be open until late so I assumed that I would be able to get a bar meal up until about 10pm. "I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was very quiet and peaceful and enjoyed sitting outside at the rear. There's no problem parking. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only criticism I have is, about the shower room. It needs something to put your toiletries on. There is a small glass shelf above the wash basin, but that is taken up by the complimentary toiletries and 2 glasses. Even without them it's only a small shelf. I had to put my toilet bag on the floor.

"As soon as I walked into The George I was welcomed with friendly smiley staff who helped me check in and showed me to my room. They went through dinner times as well as breakfast.
I didn't eat breakfast as I was too full up from the dinner the previous evening, the pie was beautiful and the sticky toffee pudding was yummy!
My room was of a good size, clean and tidy and en-suite shower room was lovely.
I will definitely be booking to stay at The George again when I next visit."
