"Checking in was quick all staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very clean. Staff were very helpful with directions we needed. We would stay here again as it was very quiet happy to recommend"
"Having lived near TW until last year, we were visiting friends locally, and as we had our wedding reception at the Spa 25 years ago last week, we decided to stay for our 2 nights in the area. Check in was easy, and we were allocated room 104, a twin room. It was ok, but a few niggles - the bottom of the window had been frosted out meaning we could not see out; there were no drawers, plenty of shelves but no drawers to put underwear in; TV was not user friendly, and could do with an upgrade to a...
"The roof in the bathroom had a hole in it and debris kept falling through it. We told the staff but they didn't do anything about it. Also the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the dining area of our room.
The restaurant was closed so we had to use one 400 metres away in an adjacent building"
"Lovely characterful property. Friendly staff and very polite, Room was good, huge bathroom and very clean, robes and towels supplied. We did use the pool which was lovely. There is nothing lift so be careful if a bit unsteady on your legs as lots of steps and stairs around."
"Room needs to be refreshed, but that is planned. Staff at front desk with helpful. Young man behind the bar at breakfast Tom was amazing and so very helpful."
"Sehr hilfsbereites Personal und bequeme Betten. Jedoch sehr hellhöriges Zimmer (sämtliche Nachbarn reden gehört). Frühstück ist ausreichend (klassisch, nichts besonderes), aber der Kaffee ist eine Katastrophe (Milchpulver für den Cappuccino)"
"This is a period property with a lot of lovely features in the centre of Rye. However, it is letdown by a very slow service at breakfast. Breakfast is chaotic, with one very small table with yoghurt, granola some fruit and orange juice. Both mornings of our stay it was running very low and out of a number of things. Both mornings, I had to go and find staff to stock the table up and provide glasses for the orange juice. Staff are either inadequately trained or just not copying well.
The coffee...
"I had a "newer" room at the back of the hotel overlooking my favourite pub, the Beau Nash Tavern. The room was comfortable, clean, quiet, and well-appointed. As a new room it was shoe-horned into the existing property so getting to my room was pretty funny as the path from the front desk to it was convoluted in an entertaining sort of way (people enjoyed the video on my Instagram!). I had dinner and breakfast in the dining room, both were excellent too. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I...
"Overall, the room was clean and the included breakfast was generous and delicious. The only concerns were a bright green light from a ceiling-mounted device that made it difficult to sleep and receiving a parking ticket despite registering our vehicle. Aside from some splatter on the blind behind the sink, the room was well maintained. With those issues addressed, the stay would have been excellent."
"The room was lovely, the en suite was lovely, the fact that it was up two flights of stairs, not so good . My fault for not mentioning I don’t climb stairs well."
"Would be 5 stars all round if it wasn’t for the fireplace centrepiece under the TV not working, half of it wouldn’t switch on so one side was lit while the other stayed off and I paid a lot of money on 2 nights in the signature suite for a very special birthday relying on everything to be as advertised. With the room being the main experience this was very disappointing and even after raising this to staff it wasn’t able to be fixed. I’m all about details especially for big celebrations and this...
