"Our room was nice. We had a terrace but when you sit down, all you can see is a cream wall ( you have to stand up for the view). The hotel should take a foot or two from the wall and install railings. Complimentary wine was undrinkable. No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom which I expected for the price ( £730.20 with parking). Hotel needs a power wash as it look rather tatty. Enjoyed breakfast but though a £5 additional charge for eggs Benedict/ eggs Florentine. Great location."

"I have no idea how I can rate the hotel for "Eco-friendliness"? What a daft question that is. Anyway, check-in was quick and friendly. The room was quiet, stylish and clean. I felt very relaxed. I didn't eat in the restaurant and didn't have breakfast, so cannot comment on either. I would stay here again. The one negative for me was the marketing garbage I got sent ahead of my stay. "A great hotel in a prime location . Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent and refreshingly full service no making tea and toast. Parking could be a little challenging at times but it also has some free access to 13amp plugs to charge your car. We had a balcony onto a lovely waterfall but smoking is allowed . Would definitely stay again if in the area. Ambleside is great for vegetarian / vegan."

"Excellent and charming renovated period buildinh with very responsive communication before and during stay. 15min walk from train station and business terminus and 10min into town center. Beautiful and serene garden and patio. Quality of the rooms and amenities are high/new. ‘Kozy’ rooms are best for short stays as they are truly cozy, especially sinks in the bathroom. For long stays, chose a regular/double."

"Loved the location with Furness Abbey nearby and conveniently situated for Safari Zoo. The hotel was furnished beautifully and our room was very spacious. The hotel grounds were stunning and maintained to a high standard, We were celebrating our 43rd Wedding Anniversary, on Thursday, but this wasn’t acknowledged, however, the restaurant was very busy on that evening. Would recommend this hotel."
