"Great place. A few minutes walk from the main lodge where you leave your car. There is a parking bay to unload your gear if required. Note there is no lift so not suitable if you have walking difficulties. Nice modern room with big bathroom. Tv is tiny"
"A lovely hotel, great food and a fantastic breakfast. A full English that left us feeling full!
The Daily Menu mentioned "Crispy Doreen's Black Pudding" on the Grazing Meat Board. We didn't find out who Crispy Doreen is, but her Black Pudding was great!
The steaks are pricey, but the rest of the menu seems reasonably priced, and the food quality was excellent.
The "Wagyu" room was a good size, and well decorated with a nice deer theme. Nice overhead type shower, easy to adjust, and once...
"Me and my partner Ross stayed at The Cornmill last saturday and we both had a pleasent experience, Karen is very welcoming & accomodating and all round a lovely person. The room we stayed in was immaculate aswell and to top it all off, breakfast was absolutely superb! It's a 10/10 from both of us, we would highly recommend and we do plan on coming back in the future. Thank you so much"
"Very comfortable with an excellent spa and pool. Breakfast is amazing. We regularly book here as a base for runs on the North York Moors and it works brilliantly. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make everything work for early start."
"Nice sized room. Hot beverage faciities in the room were good and well presented.
Breakfast was well prepared and satisfying. Staff well informed about partners allergies and made every effort to ensure her safety."
"Location was lovely.
The rooms were spotless but I felt the garden rooms were rather exposed. Maybe net curtains on the windows would have given a little more privacy."
"The property was in a rural location and looked attractive from the outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful and breakfast was nice. The bedroom was quite dark and as its an old building wasnt particularly well sound proofed. The bathroom constantly had a terrible smell, like damp. This was very unpleasant."
"We had a lovely stay at Easterside. The views were breathtaking. We stayed in the granary and found it to be cozy. The hosts were welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, and the tea and treat each evening was perfect."
"We stayed in Buttercup cottage and it was absolutely lovely. It was much larger than we expected and was well stocked with everything we needed. It was also very well maintained and the biscuits, cake and milk were a nice welcoming touch. It was perfect for our stay, it’s tucked away in the country but only a short drive or walk to the nearest local shops / pubs. I was able to walk easily to the local convenience store in Castleton. It’s a great location for exploring the wider area whether you...
