"The Palace is in a great location , easy walking across the bridge to the Old Town and the Inverness Castle and Museum.
Staff are delightful and eager to please.
The breakfast is quite good."
"Location 10 minute drive to town. We were in Annex lower level with small private patio.
Breakfast was nice but service had slow start at 7:00.
No idea of rooms in main building."
"The Mercure was a great hotel, and the location was wonderful for walking around the city. Being right along the river was fantastic!
The only downside was that parking was quite tight and fairly expensive. However, considering how challenging parking was in general, we appreciated being able to park right in front of the hotel.
Our other issue was with the temperature of our first-floor room on the first night. The windows couldn't be opened due to safety concerns, as they opened onto the...
"This was a cool castle to stay in for the night!! Our room was furthest away and told we had to wait around 10mins for hot water to come in shower which was true!! The only thing is that the TV is in the wrong place! Other that that all good"
"Check in requires an app which we were not made aware of booking via Expedia. If it were not for another guest letting us know I don’t know how we would have got in. Calls and messages to Mansley are still unanswered. Expedia and Mansley need to communicate better. Get the Mansley app before going! There is no help on site.
Nice apartment with great location."
"This was my first trip to Scotland, and my first trip overseas. This property was perfect for this solo traveler, and to be honest I really could have been happy just staying at the house the entire time. Each morning and night I ate there was a culinary dream, and my room was filled with ambiance, as I awoke each day to a view of the lovely Beauly Firth. The staff were friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The property was gorgeous, and I enjoyed magical walks through the trees...
"Room was very clean and smart. Had a lovely sleep in the king bed.
Cooked breakfast was lovely - they actually had a ‘vegetarian’ cooked breakfast on the menu that featured vegetarian haggis Pattie!
Staff were very courteous and helpful."
"One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The hospitality is bar none and the experience is ethereal. You can almost image the days leading up to the battle of 1746 unfold walking through the halls and the grounds. Lots of delightful surprises I won't spoil that make the experience unique and special from music, to gardens, to the hospitality."
"We stayed in a hut. Barely enough room for one person, let alone two with luggage. It had potential as a teeny tiny house experience but we couldn't get the hot water to work for a second shower. Followed the instructions in the guest book over and over and finally gave up. The bed was comfortable enough but the person on the inside has to climb over the person on the outside to get up in the middle of the night."
"Beautifully decorated room! They thought of every little detail with fresh milk for tea and refillable bottled water in the fridge. Spacious room and very clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!"
