"This property is set in a lovely location. They do get overwhelmed staff wise. There is no air con throughout the hotel or rooms. The rooms are dated but not cheap. I do think it is overpriced."

"We recently stayed at The Big Blue Hotel in Blackpool for two nights from Friday 3 July, and overall, we had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent and the whole experience felt very well organised. One of the first things that impressed us was how quick and efficient the check-in process was. We arrived earlier than the usual check-in time and were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in at around 11:30am. This made a big difference...

"Lovely stay for a last minute 1 night stay. Had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely. Informed staff I was gluten free and they provided me a lovely GF continental breakfast. Beds were comfy everything was clean. Your opposite the main pub in the square so you can step out and dine at some lovely places. Will definitely be staying here again when we visit Lytham again. "Lovely friendly staff but they didn't seem to know anything. There was no mention about breakfast times and location etc on check in. We asked about the pool but the staff in the main building didn't know whether it was included or not (it's not). When searching for a hotel, I specifically selected Air Con as a filter, but what I didn't realise until too late, is the rooms that came up on my search don't have any - fortunately it cooled down the night we were there. Lovely big rooms."

"Always stay here when on the Fylde Coast. It has a very calming and friendly atmosphere. Service is always good and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast is excellent. We tend to stay with family for evening meals."
