"It would have been nice to have had some emenities like shampoo and telephone, but overall it was a really great room and wonderfully located! We got into Inverness on the overnight train, but they wouldn't stow our luggage. That wasn't great. But they did try to accommodate us the best that they could... Still there should be a place that they can store your luggage for you (that isn't the sitting room). They have enough space to do this. "

"Hotel room was clean, modern, had a true king size bed, and the private bathroom shower was truly relaxing! The hotel restaurant serves fantastic food. However, the bar only served Bud draft and a Thai draft beer. I was at the VERY LEAST expecting to be served with a local Scottish beer — huge bummer! The Mercure Hotel is located in the middle town, a one minute walk to Victoria Market— huge plus!"

"Nice place to stay. It is within a couple blocks of River Ness and the old town. There is a large parking structure about two blocks away if you have a rental car. The staff were very friendly and the room was nice."

"This hotel is dated and could use a refurbishment. Our bathroom wasn’t completely clean and we found a spider web and spider in it. We also could hear everyone walking down the halls and talking all night. There was a tour staying overnight and their big bus blocked the view of the hotel for our entire stay. The staff was very nice though! "

"Staff was amazing - friendly and knowledgeable. They couldn’t be more helpful. We learned more about Scottish whiskey from George than we could have in any number of distillery tours. The hotel is a gem -older but well maintained with a fascinating history. The walled gardens provided a lovely respite in the afternoons. Breakfasts were well prepared and served. Our best stay in the country!"

"What an absolutely charming and amazing place. Everything was perfect. The hotel manager and all of the staff were so gracious, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. This is a real gem. We actually tried to extend our stay even though we would have been unable to cancel our next nights accommodations at a different hotel and would have had to eat the cost of that other room. We truly did not want to leave but unfortunately they were all booked up. Would definitely return. "

"For the price, you are paying for the amazing loch views, and quiet serenity. Staff was very nice and helpful, food was great. However the owners need to update the rooms at this price point. I don’t mind experiencing the old charm of Scotland but not if it’s 1985 charm. Bathroom needs updating, even a curved shower curtain would go a long way. Wooden Floors are extremely creaky. Very hard to be quiet. Especially if you come in past midnight when all the doors are locked shut. Overall a great...

"The property had a great view and a convenient location. The balcony was nice. It is a little loud at night when you have the windows/balcony door open, which we did because it was warm. I appreciated the milk for coffee in the fridge. The coffeeshop across the street is fantastic as well, and the river is right there. Staff were super communicative and helpful when we had a travel-related issue. Would absolutely stay again. "

"We had a great stay at this lovely B&B run by a very welcoming couple, Margaret & Sandy. Very spacious room for us which had en-suite facilities, fridge, seating area and tea & coffee facilities too. As for the breakfast…expect a hearty start to the day whether it’s all the trimmings or just porridge. We’d certainly recommend!"
