"I cannot recommend this hotel more. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. The team are friendly, so helpful, professional and efficient. If you are in the Barrow area and need accommodation this is the only place you should stay. Thank you team, you were all amazing. 6 stars if I could."
"Firstly, compared to our last trip here all staff were absolutely wonderful. However, the hotel is undergoing ‘improvement’ works which they are significantly downplaying. There is a construction site on the lake side of the hotel which includes significant relevelling works with mounds of soil! It looks more like being next to an active quarry than a standard construction site and means that when we chose and paid for a ‘lake view room’ you actually have a view over a quarry with the lake in...
"I chose a more budget room, so my view wasnt very nice and overlooked by other rooms (the garden is lovely so maybe consider upgrading to a garden view). However, the room was large, well maintained and I didnt notice any significant cleanliness issues. Bathroom had plenty of surface space for toiletries.
The car park can get quite full if an event is on. Food and drinks I thought a little pricey (large glass of wine and a burger £37). Pool was nice and lots of gym equipment."
"كانت إقامة جميلة والفندق كلاسيكي نظيف ومريح والموظفين خدومين ولطفاء. اعجبني الفندق والمنطقة المحيطة الذي لم يعجبني فقط ان الماء الحار والبارد كل صنبور على حدة بحيث ان احدهما شديد الحرارة والآخر شديد البرودة يعني أمامك خيارين عند الاستخدام اما ان تحترق أو تتجمد "
"The communal areas in the hotel were lovely and the staff were friendly. The room we were allocated however was very disappointing for the price. We paid £194 for one night with a £20 additional charge for bringing our dog. The room we were given felt cramped and as it was on the ground floor, there was very limited natural light. The cleanliness of the bathroom was also not great."
"A beautiful setting. The parkland with peacocks and chickens was great to walk around with our dog. Rooms spacious and clean with good facilities and restaurant food excellent. Staff were super friendly and helpful - a great place to stay especially as a base for walking/visiting the Lake Distrct."
"Superb hotel right on the lake and right next to the boat trip and the steam train .
Very relaxing , rooms ate lovely clean , great views over the lake ."
