"Staff were friendly and helpful. Lift was out of order for all of our stay which was not good as I have arthritis in both knees, left hip and right shoulder. There were a lot of stairs - this spoilt the holiday slightly for me"
"Absolutely lovely place! I’ve wanted to go here for a while for the pods with hot tubs and it did not disappoint!
POD was very spacious, a super king bed was amazing! Very modern and comfortable. The hotel itself is really nice and in lovely grounds. We only had breakfast but it was also very good.
We are looking forward to coming back!"
"Overall an excellent location, staff and facilities. The grounds and gardens are large and very well kept. Only minor items to address are that it took some time for breakfast orders to be taken so had to wait a long time and result in toast and tea getting cold. Pool area could do with a little more lighting as it felt very dull."
"Staff were great, the room was lovely and clean and comfortable. Very quiet. No road noise. The breakfast (£10) was very good - recommend that if you’re staying here. Very small town wirh not a lot to do or see here, but we were only passing through and just needs a place to sleep for the night. This was perfect for that. Only downside was that the night we stayed, they had no staff available to open their in-house restaurant, and the other pub in town was also closed for meals so we ended up...
"Fantastic 2 night stay in the family room with our 20 month old daughter. Friendly staff, convenient parking, lovely food and drinks, and a delicious breakfast. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend and return!"
"Lovely welcome. Great food in the evening. Comfy bed and quirky clean room with fluffy white towels. Superb breakfast. Highly recommend this historical inn. Thank you."
"We had a very comfortable stay at the wheatsheaf in Swindon, staff were friendly and welcoming, a bar that was open for drinks and places to sit and relax. Our room was comfortable although window wouldn’t stay open to let in fresh air as it was a warm day outside. Our even meal was delicious with a good choice of menu. Breakfast was also good and the service was swift. a great start to our day. All in all an enjoyable stay would revisit this hotel again in the future."
"I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem.
We ordered food it was very fast and efficient, large portions and reasonably priced. The sun was in the beer garden all day. Staff very...
