"This hotel was magnificent! The best way to describe it was a hotel from the USA roaring 20s - the opulence. The concierge we asked about getting to the Gaol (tourist attraction "prison") and the train station was very rude and the multiple ladies at the front desk were very condescending but it didn't ruin our stay. The hotel was located near the English Market and restaurants and shopping. The parking garage was a bit of a walk, but it was free and the car was protected. The room was as you would expect in Europe, in terms of size, but the old fashioned character and charm was there. We would go back and would gladly recommend it to anyone."

I only had the continental breakfast which was good value and the cooked dishes coming out to other guests looked really good too. Hotel is well located with the city centre just a short walk away and the free parking in their own car park was ideal."
