I just want to point out one defect in the hope that someone at Dunston Hall will see this and take some action to prevent it happening again.
We ate at the brasserie on 3 evenings and the cooking was, with one exception, very good. The exception was on the last night when one of my hasselback potatoes turned out to be bad . The attached photo shows how black it was inside. I showed this to the waitress who said she...

"Well we have really enjoyed our stay here at The Wherry Hotel. Check in was easy, our room overlooked the water and was very comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, toiletries, fans and a radio all
included. The hotel is getting tired in places, it does need some tlc in some areas and there was one staircase that did have a nasty smell. However on the whole the main areas and our room was well maintained and clean.

"Ordered a cappuccino at the bar and they had no chocolate sprinkles and said they dont use them, strange gor a hotel of your calibre.

A few local pubs around with the best being the Pear Tree as staff are pleasent and greeting.
Key pad is a little confusing but once fathomed easy to use.

The hotel is well situated,close to beach and resort centre and car parking is on the street but no problem finding a space."
