"The first impression was good on entering the hotel. The lift however is insufficient in size especially with many guests as was case when I stayed. This caused problems at breakfast time.
The single room was smaller than expected.

Limited seating in comfortable Piano Bar area. There were 2 coach trips in every day of my stay.

"I liked the old fashioned nature of the hotel. I had the impression that the charming lift hadn't changed since the 1920s. It was a change to have breakfast served by waiters from a menu instead of self service from a buffet but I like both kinds of service. The hotel is situated at the north end of the mile and half promenade so wasn't exactly convenient for the town centre but the bus transport was very regular which made up for it. "We had a side sea view room, clean and well maintained. Great room. Breakfasts good with top class ingredients. We ate once for the evening meal. The food was pricey and quality was poor. Overall a really good hotel with great staff and exceptionally clean."
"We arrived after 18.00 hours but we were expected and our room was ready and waiting. The facilities were excellent,and plenty of info on attractions was available. The breakfast menu was extensive and varied, with sausage and bacon sourced locally.
