"The breakfast was very nice and the main dining hall was magnificent. The room itself could’ve been better. The textured wallpaper had dust clinging to it. It was concerning to find that the bed didn’t have a mattress protector under the sheet. The carpet was worn. The tiles in the bathroom were very municipal."

"Very clean hotel. Stayed there for a conference although the majority of guests are on airport transit from Stansted airport. Including breakfast at the price I paid would have been nicer"

"My wife, who is an artist, loves the decor of this hotel. I found the staff really helpful. We had an odd problem with our room due to the kettle causing an electrical short. The staff were excellent in sorting out the problem and gave us an upgrade. The breakfast is very good and well laid out with options for a personalised service. The beds are very comfortable, we have stayed there before so can compare the rooms. The location is excellent, just near the railway station. We plan to stay...
