"Everything was very nice overall, and we really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that there wasn’t a designated smoking area on the property. Guests who want to enjoy a cigar and a drink have to walk off the property, and the designated area is quite far away.

Other than that, once you hike the volcano and check out the waterfall, there isn’t much else to do in the town so the resort is the most exciting thing to do and will be a highlight of your trip. Convenient as it was right across from mistico hanging bridges, but still a drive away to other attractions in la fortuna. "The hotel has the right kind of luxury for Monteverde, not flashy or high-tech, but everything is clean and nice, staff is helpful, the location is great and the place is beautiful. The sauna and the jacuzzi are GREAT, and we had monkeys crossing the trees above us while we relaxed there; the food is delicious. We loved our stay!"
