"The hotel was only half finished as of Apr 2026- the front doors don’t open properly, half the flooring is missing and there are notes apologising that the room fridge and safes aren’t available. There’s 2 other types of Ibis hotel right next to the airport- this one is a 15 minute walk away with no shuttle- I should have researched this, but it’s a lot less convenient than the others. "

"A basic but clean room, ideal for the purpose of getting an early morning flight or arriving back into Birmingham after the last train. Bed sheets didn’t quite fit the bed but were clean. Hotel bar / food area was rammed, maybe an oversight on the hotel designers part, more than adequate for most hotels but reflective of the lack of other amenities. I went to the airport and got on a train to resorts world for dinner. Overall though I would definitely use this hotel again and can highly recommend it as a good value no frills quality option. "

"Although I did not take a pet, I did notice a jar of dog treats that made it clear pets were welcome. My room was clean generous, with a view of the lake, and tea, biscuits and cartons of water replenished daily. Breakfast was varied with fun touches, and the staff really were great."
