"I had an amazing time staying there, very clean, staff were amazing and so helpful. Richard was absolutely fantastic. I am so grateful for the chance of staying there. Location is super convenient. I will definitely come back. Thank you"

"Lovely little boutique hotel run by super friendly hosts. The rooms are quite something and the place is chock full of eccentric vintage finds, it has real character. We had a deep, luxurious bath in our room and the vintage glass bottle of bubble bath was a nice touch. We had the breakfast (veggie continental) one morning and it was delicious, lots of fresh little picky bits to eat and drink. It’s up on the cliffs with a lovely view of the abbey but still an easy walk into town. Just sad we...

"The listing said free on site parking. There wasn’t. We couldn’t get into the property and we couldn’t get in touch with anyone. The only reason we managed to get in was due to chance, a local lady stopped and mentioned a cottage agent near by that might help in which they did. The place its self was as described."

"The stay was great however the booking with hotels.com and communication with Sykes cottages in Whitby was terrible and gave me so much hassle."

"First class B&B our hosts were superb, will definitely be returning for another stay. I wrote in their guest book in the words of Tina Turner "your simply the best ""

"They were very helpful with our dietary needs. Parking was great Breakfast was amazing"

"Very nice apartment convenient for local attractions. Walking distance of Whalebone Arch. If, like me, you don’t have a var, it's within walkin distance of supermarket, local tourist bus which goes to all local attractions, including the Abbey. Be aware the loft appartment is up 3 flights of stairs, but once you reach it, it is very quaint and an ideal base. I was there when it was very strong winds and heavy rain, but the flat js very snug and warm so I was pleasantly surprised. Well stocked...

"The property is beautiful, absolutely spotlessly clean, very comfortable and lots of lovely added touches. Our only problem was hotels.com show it in the wrong location on their map. I booked it as it showed beside the station but it is actually not there, it is higher up the hill behind the town. All other listings seem to be correct so seems to be a hotels.com problem"

"Fabulous house to stay in. Great location with all of Whitby’s attractions very close by. "

"Lovely and quiet, a good position , shame about the internet "

"Wow, what an amazing place to stay in Whitby. Foxton Penthouse was central for us to have coastal walks and to walk into town. The apartment was very modern and had everything we needed to make our stay go well. Once in town you can cross the bridge and walk up the 199 steps to the Abbey. Or get the hop on hop off bus. The costumes of people dressed up in Gothic clothes added to our stay. "

"Clean and well equipped property ideally located for anything in Whitby - though of course, you should be aware that many streets in Whitby are steep and pavements narrow. A welcome pack was a nice touch. Recommended."
