"Once I got my head past the idea that ‘this is not a Marriott’ I came to realize this is a great hotel.
Room was comfortable. I was able to park right outside the hotel front door every night. Breakfast was good. The bar area is well presented with a good mix of locals and tourists to talk to.
Room attended to daily.
The local town is very pleasant. Some great coffee shops and pubs."
"I really liked it. If you are expecting ultra modern this is not the place for you. If you are happy with a well worn in lived in vibe you will like it. It was cheap cheerful and I enjoyed the breakfast."
"I've stayed here, overnight, on two occasions in the last month. During both stays I have come down for a continental breakfast either at 7.45am or 8.30am only to find the through door into the breakfast area was locked and no one around to give access. This meant I had to go to a nearby shop to buy breakfast at an extra cost to me even though it was already part of my booking cost. On both occasions complained afterwards to the pub manager and received no apology as he stated breakfast was at...
"The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Pub had a lovely atmosphere.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean."
"Lovely place. This is a rustic place in the middle of nowhere and is fantastic! Worth all the travel. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef bourginon. My room was lovely and the bed comfortable. A very welcoming place even for a single traveller like me. I’m definitely going back at some point! Brilliant"
"It is a dog and child friendly pub with a large garden area with a childrens bouncy castle, so if you like dogs and children this is the place for you. The Menu was a little restricted to typical pub grub. Prices for wine and beer were on the high side.
If you want to eat a meal without being disturbed by hoard of children going to the toilet then avoid the garden room dining area."
"The Holly Inn is conveniently located outside of Richmond town center across the river valley - walking distance if you can handle the hill. The views of Richmond and the surrounding area are amazing. There is plenty of car parking for the accommodation, pub and restaurant on the same site.
The room and bathroom was clean, spacious and warm. The bed was huge - two doubles together (maybe?). Sadly a missing air vent cover on the floor to ceiling window meant a cold draught blew through the...
"The room was immaculate, staff were lovely and friendly and so helpful.
The food was hot tasty and such good value for money.
Will absolutely be back. Thank you for making us so welcome"
"Brand new renovated cottage, in the old bunker house, absolutely ideal for 2 guests with breakfast included. Clean , perfect food & service, what else do you need."
