"I had an absolutely terrible experience staying at the Britannia Edinburgh Hotel and strongly warn other travelers to avoid this property. First, the room hygiene was unacceptable. The bathtub was covered in deep black mold embedded in cracked grout lines and a pink bacterial biofilm (Serratia marcescens) along the tile edges. "I pre-paid for my 2-night stay when I made the reservation, but Moxy chose to charge me again the morning I checked out. I didn't know about being double-charged until I got back home to the states. Currently working with Expedia to resolve the 2nd charge. This has never happened to me before, but it's alarming to see some other reviews indicating Moxy Edinburgh Airport Hotel did the same thing to other customers."

"The location is good and the design of the lobby is nice BUT the cleaning is very poor: 1- The shower is unclean at least in our room. 2- We asked them more than 3 times after they “clean” the room to make the bed and take the trash out. How do you clean the room if you don’t empty the trash bin or make the bed? 3- The lightbulb was flickering in the bathroom and it delays when it’s switched on. 4- The WiFi is slow."
