"The staff were very obliging and helpful, always smiling and approchable. Pleasant lovely to my two bichons always took time to fuss them. A large green to walk my dogs.
The premises were clean and tidy.
Parking was excellent 👌.
Breakfast was lovely and tasty, and plenty of it, a good selection.
First time I've used Purdy Lodge, but will certainly use it again.
Very reasonably priced also.
Also looked out onto green fields.
The only thing I could find was the fact that there were no Subtitles...
"Nice room although not very private in terms of balcony area -in full display of pub garden!! Good location for boat to Farne Islands and travelling to Lindisfarne etc. Very small car park."
"I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime.
Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so.
Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room...
"Ideal location-Parking was a bit of a problem when we arrived mid-afternoon but eventually found a spot near the village green. The room was comfortable -although I wouldn't exactly call it a 'seaview' more of a sea glimpse. The breakfast was fabulous, plenty to choose from and served up by Mark-the lovely, friendly host."
"We have just stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend. The room was very clean and had everything we needed .Even though we were on the ground floor at the back we did not experience any noise from the bar or restaurant. In fact the only noise we heard was the cars on the gravel in the car park.
The food was excellent there was so much choice for breakfast. The evening menu was amazing all locally sourced food. We tried several dishes and all of them were so tasty and the portions...
"On arrival we were greeted well and efficiently, however there was not really enough staff to cover everything. Staff were friendly and very helpful . I booked for three nights and expected three full English breakfasts. Unfortunately upon arrival we were informed that there was no chef for Saturday morning while this was disappointing we were assured all would be ok for Sunday and Monday morning . On Sunday there was a full English which was good, however Monday morning chef failed to turn up...
"Lovely hotel with excellent pub attached, particularly good for a drink but also served good food.
Breakfast was also very good, and packed lunches are can be bought for anyone on a hiking trip if you arrange this the evening before"
"Lovely cosy cottage, perfect for dogs , tiled floor and lots of places to walk. We didn t have time to use the pool or snooker tables , but planning to return
Lovely to find a welcome card , hand written from the owners and a bottle of wine ."
"The floors downstairs were extremely slippery and out dog was hurting herself walking on them. Luckily, we had 5 rigs and some dog blankets with us so she could as be able to move about.
The downstairs is all open plan and so nowhere to put the dog (eg the kitchen) without her having access to the lunge and dining areas.
The hob was dirty down one side and the control dials numbers were illegible, so it was difficult to set it at the required temperature.
The only way to get hot water was to...
