"The most terrible experience we have ever had. No towels, no soap, only one pillow that was one inch deep. When we asked for towels were given 2towels size of a hand towel. That’s all we have got. They only come once a week. No one came all week to service the room. Beds lumpy and very uncomfortable. Windows filthy could hardly see through. Lift kept breaking down. Would never stay there again."

"Had a lovely stay! The room was clean, comfortable and well presented, and the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. The food was also fantastic, with plenty of choice and everything we had was delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Would definitely recommend!"

"The Waterwheel Inn was exceptional. We had a garden suite which opened straight out onto the amazing gardens and a small double room. Both were decorated nicely and kept clean. Breakfast was served in the lovely conservatory and was excellent with good choices and nice touches like home-made jams and granola. We ate in the restaurant for dinner several times and had great food every time. Staff were helpful whilst being unobtrusive. Our only suggestion is to advertise the vegan options better as...

"We had a lovely one night stay. The room was so cute and cosy “13” it was like stepping back in time but with modern amenities. The bed was super comfortable. I had a great nights sleep.
Dinner was lovely,as was the breakfast. Staff we friendly and very accommodating. Only downside was that it’s very dog friendly in all areas. Something we aren’t used to in Australia, where they are banned from most places unless they are service dogs. I highly rate the passion fruit cocktails."
