"The surrounding area and location of the hotel was stunning. Excellent accommodation. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The views from the room, dining room, bars and outside seating areas were wonderful. We hope to return and stay again. "

"Overall, a very well managed hotel. The inn keeper was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Location is great along the main road. Parking behind the hotel was very convenient and there were plenty of spots when we traveled. Bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean. In the bathroom, the sink was about the size as you would expect on a boat, very skinny and difficult to keep water from splashing everywhere. The shower was very nice, but similar to other places in Scotland there are no shelves to put toiletries on in the shower. The breakfast buffet was very tasty, ample, and fresh. We did not find a better place for breakfast in Oban. Note that if your room is on the street side, the street noise can be a bit much. "

"Perfect location walking distance from train bus and ferry terminals. Staff was very responsive and helpful. Wish we could have opened the windows but we were fine since it was cool at night. We will return!"

"The Whisky Vaults is a good choice for accommodations in Oban. It is convenient to restaurants, trains and ferries. Rooms are cozy and beds are comfortable. The building is historic and interesting. The staff is friendly and helpful. Totally charming overall. (Note no elevator but staff will help with luggage.)"
