"Just amazing. I was blown away by the great hospitality at this hotel. Also in awe of the view of the Eiger! First thing you see waking up and last thing before going to sleep. The connected restaurant is also really good. Ate there both nights of my stay. My only regret is that I didnt book this place for more days, but I guess that is just an excuse to returrn. Thanks!"

"The views are incredible. I would come again & highly recommend it, however I was unaware that the hotel & entire town are not accessible by car. One must park in the valley below ( Lauterbrunnen) and take a train up to the town. Parking is about 9 Euros a calendar day (so an overnight stay costs 18 Euros) and the train which leaves every 30 min costs 7.50 Euros p/p one way. The hotel is a walk uphill from the train station, but there is a hotel shuttle (another fact we were unaware of ) that...

"What are the things most people ask …. The room was comfortable - had a desk and desk chair - has a safe - hair dryer and towel warmer - note NO AC - but we were fortunate the weather wasn’t terribly hot - we opened the windows. With the exception of traveling suitcases on the pavement outdoors it was fairly quiet after 11:00. "Great hotel in Grindelwald. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was very good. We had a fantastic view of the Eiger and Monch mountains that captivated us. I suggest requesting a room with a view of these mountains as opposed to the other side that looks towards Mount First. That side isn't bad, but the view towards Eiger and Monch is fantastic.
