"This was our first time at the Ryder hotel. It was located very conveniently in downtown Charleston. The staff was very friendly however, when we were by the pool, the service there was somewhat spotty. Often times staff would just ignore anyone who was sitting at a table and not offer them a drink. The pool was nice to have on a hot day however, it was very murky and cloudy looking. Not sure how often they check for chemical balance. Both my husband and I felt very itchy after being in the pool...

"The work on Saturday around noon was rude and unprofessional we needed ice and they didn’t have any made up so we asked how long would it be she then said I need to make some up for my platinum customers first but there was no one waiting for any she was just unprofessional in my opinion "

"The front desk staff members that I dealt with were very helpful. There was one young lady who was rude to my Godmother and actually threatened to have her removed from the property by security for asking to have her room changed due to the bed having a broken box spring. She literally left the front desk and ran to the elevator to confront my Godmother because she THOUGHT my Godmother (who will be 70 years old next month) said something under her breath.
