"The room was a good size, and breakfast had a wide selection of food (hot and cold) available. I didn't have any issues while there, and the staff were pleasant. I'd stay again if I was in the area for work."

"The property failed to mention about paint job on the floor where our room was located and could smell the paint fume. The room was ok and smaller for the price. Staff was helpful, had decent amenities and free breakfast. You could find alternate option for this price"

"Well located near Royal Mile and Castle."

"Ein sauberes und angenehmes Hotel, sehr gute Option wenn in Edinburgh alles ausgebucht und zu teuer ist. Etwas außerhalb von Edinburgh aber ein gutes Hotel."

"If you’re not using it as a base to go drink and party you’re going to hear the venue next door blasting until 3 am on the weekends which if you’re interested in sleeping is impossible even with ear plugs and white noise"

"Generally a pleasant hotel, great position for the sites , plenty of restaurants and local buses. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Only a couple of things that could be improved on. One of the lifts was out of order for the whole 5 days we were there so there was a bit of a jam for the other one at times. and also the breakfast was a bit overpriced for the continental option being the same £13.50 as for the cooked. But overall a good mid range hotel option"

"Lovely hotel in a local and walkable neighborhood."

"Good breakfast but the amenities are not modern. By the road, bus stop right across the facility. Their people are their strongest strength"

"We loved staying in this hotel. A bit challenging since I have mobility issues but well worth pushing though it. Within walking distance of several must see sites. Loved the atmosphere. The staff of both the hotel and restaurant were lovely. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!"

"We loved our stay at the Royal Scotsman. Our room was large, clean, and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very helpful. The location is also great, walking distance to great pubs and eateries, and to Old Town (10 minute walk). We will definitely stay there again when returning to Edinburgh"

"Ana and Molly at the front desk were professional, helpful, and very friendly. They singlehandedly made our 4 day a great experience."
