"We checked in to the family room as mentioned but noticed a smell which we initially ignored as we put the luggage down and went out to explore the place. When we returned that evening the smell had got worst so we opened the windows but after a while it became unbearable so we went to reception and informed them. The lady came with me checked it and immediately asked us to pack so we can be moved to a better room which was newer and in very good condition. She ensured we were happy before she...

"The Swan Motel was absolutely lovely for our family. The staff were polite and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and opened directly into a garden area for the kids to play. And the food was absolutely delicious (and gigantic)!"

"Lovely big bedroom with comfortable bed. Our hosts were friendly. A wide choice of breakfast items. The hotel is very conveniently situated for the seafront and South Lowestoft. Parking was easy and free on the street outside However the weather was poor so if more people were at the beach it might have been more difficult. The carpark is tight opposite though and only £4 for the whole day. Our one criticism would be - no shelf in the shower for toiletries. A very pleasant stay. "

"We stayed in room 3 while our friends were in room 5, and the difference was remarkable. Our room was modern and didn't match the photo we saw online, as we were 'upgraded' due to a band playing in the pub below. The bathroom was incredibly small, only accommodating one person at a time. Definitely not worth £100 a night."
