"The bathroom in our triple room was very narrow. We can smell an occasional sewer smell. The pillows are flat. Otherwise, the hotel is great. The staff are nice too. We do like the location because it was walking distance to the train station which made our trip from Venice and our trip to Rome very easy. It is also so close to the main attractions and restaurants."

"This place is right in the middle of the village with an unassuming entry about a block from the Duomo. It’s only a 8 minute walk to the train as well. Staff was top notch, helpful and always available. Room was in the back of the house which had windows to a quiet street and the windows were quality for air, light and sound. Front door flanked by restaurants and pubs and street life but rooms seem to be on back side with no noise. Will stay here every time we visit. "

"La Scalette is a beautiful hotel in Florence. Its location is perfect. You’re within walking distance of amazing shopping, restaurants, the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, etc. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star, was the accessibility and mobility within the hotel itself. Even if you take the tiny elevator to your floor, you might have another set of stairs just to get to your room. After a long day of sight seeing in the heat, the last thing you want is to return it to your hotel and have...
